Crane's Sizzling 73 Helps Bears To 5th Place On Day One Of Yale Invitational

New Haven, Conn. - Senior captain Blythe Crane shot a sizzling two-over par 73 to lead the 83-player field and help the Brown women's golf team to fifth place after day one of the Yale Fall Invitational, played at the Yale Golf Course.

Brown shot a team score of 322 in the 15-team field, trailing first place Yale (307), Rollins (313), Harvard (314) and Penn (321).

Providing senior leadership for the Bears, Crane shot 36-37--73 on the rugged par-71 6,020 yard Yale course to pace the field by one shot.

Brown's next three scores were provided by freshmen, with Susan Restrepo shooting 82, Julia Robinson coming in at 83, and Sarah Guarascio carding 84. Junior Holly Snyder finished the day at 86.

Play concludes for the Yale Invitational on Sunday.
