Hanover, New Hampshire - The Brown women's golf team had a strong performance in its first outing of the 2004 fall season with a fifth place finish at the 20-team Dartmouth Women's Golf Invitational.
The Bears finished with a two-day 663, trailing Yale (629), St. John's (647), Harvard (650) and Dartmouth (650), while finishing ahead of Rutgers, Siena, Boston College, Bucknell, Central Connecticut, Albany, Fairfield, Amherst, Boston U., Hartford, Mt. Holyoke, Middlebury, Wellesley, Sacred Heart and St. Lawrence.
Leading the way for the Bears was senior Amy Behrman, who shot a two-day 162 (80, 82) to place 14th overall out of 108 players in the field. Blythe Crane was next for the Bears with a two-day 165 (85, 80) to place 21st overall.
Emily Washington also turned in a strong performance, shooting 167 overall (85, 82) to place 28th in the field. Elizabeth Fisher shot a two-day 173 (91, 82), and Tiffany Wade shot 178 (87, 91).
