Northfield, NJ - Freshman Carly Arison fired a three-over par 74 to help the Brown women's golf team to sixth place with one round remaining at the Ivy League Golf Championship, held at the par-70 Atlantic City Country Club. Coach Danielle Griffiths' squad improved 13 shots from its first round, shooting 320 for a two-round 653.
Harvard holds an eight shot lead at 601 with one round remaining in the 54-hole event followed by Yale (609), Princeton (610), Penn (636), Columbia (653), Brown and Dartmouth (692).
Arison went out in even par 37 and finished with the fifth lowest score of the day. Her two-day 154 total is 10th overall. Sophomore Julia Robinson is 21st heading into Sunday's final round with a two day 162 on rounds of 80, 82.
Freshman Heather Arison also turned in a solid second day performance, shooting 80 for a two-round 164. Freshman Megan Tuohy rebounded by shooting 84 to stand at 174 for the two rounds. Sophomore Sarah Guarascio came in at 89-92--181.
Play concludes with 18 holes at the Atlantic City Country Club on Sunday, starting at 7:30 a.m.
