Suffern, NY - In its final tune-up for the Ivy League Championship, the Brown women 's golf team earned an eighth place finish at the inaugural Roar-ee Invitational hosted by Columbia at the par-72 Spook Rock Golf Club. The Bears shot rounds of 335-330--665.
Princeton held off Harvard for the team title with a two round 612, with the Crimson coming in at 618, followed by Columbia (633), Yale (633), Penn (635), Fairleigh Dickinson (639), Lehigh (661), Brown, LIU (674) and Boston U. (681).
Sophomore Julia Robinson had a solid second round, coming in at 78 to finish the two day tournament at 163, 31st overall. Carley Arison and Heather Arison were tied for 39th individually at 167, with Carley shooting 79-88, and Heather carding 84-83.
Brown will compete in the three-day Ivy League Championship, April 23-26, at the Atlantic City Country Club.
