Bears Eighth After DAy One of Roar-ee Invitational

Suffern, NY - Following the first day of play at the Roar-ee Invitational, hosted by Columbia, the Brown women's golf team stands in eighth place with a first round 335 at the par 72 Spook Rock Golf Club. Freshman Carly Arison leads the Bears with a first round 79, good for 18th place individually.

Princeton leads the field by seven shots at 302, followed by Harvard (309), Penn (313), Fairleigh Dickinson (313), Columbia (319), Yale (323), Lehigh (326), Brown, LIU (337) and Boston U. (345).

Freshman Heather Arison came in at 84 for the Bears, while sophomore Julia Robinson shot 85. Freshman Megan Tuohy was Brown's fourth top score at 87, followed by sophomore Sarah Guarascio at 90.

Play at the Roar-ee Invitational will conclude with 18 holes on Saturday.
