Bears 13th At Roar-ee Invitational

Mamaroneck, New York - In its final tune-up before next week's Ivy League Championship, the Brown women's golf team placed 13th at the Roar-ee Invitational at the par-71 Hampshire Country Club. Brigham Young captured the team title by 23 shots with a three-round 942 followed by Harvard (965), Yale (988), Wofford (996), Georgetown (997), Princeton (998), Columbia (1002), St. John's (1012), Towson (1033), Siena (1055), Rutgers (1068), Lehigh (1070), Brown (1077) and Hofstra (1081).

Senior Blythe Crane led the Bears with a three-round 263, shooting scores of 94-89-80 to place 44th individually. Freshman Sarah Guarascio came in at 265 (90-85-90) followed by freshman Susan Restrepo at 275 (92-95-88).

Freshman Julia Robinson shot a three-round 279 (102-91-86), while sophomore Anita Sekar shot 97-95-94--286.

The Bears will compete in the Ivy League Championship next weekend, April 19-20, at teh Atlantic City Country Club.
