Golfers 4th At Boston College Invitational

Sandwich, MA - The Brown women's golf team braved the elements on Cape Cod this weekend and placed fourth in the 12-team Boston College Invitational at the River Edge Golf Club.

The Bears finished with a 658 two-day total, behind Georgetown (638), Boston College (641) and St. John's (642), and ahead of Harvard (676), Rutgers (684), Dartmouth (686), Mt. Holyoke (717), Boston U. (732), Fairfield (732), Amherst (733) and Wellesley (765).

Headlining the Bears' effort was sophomore Eleanor Thomas, who carded a two-day 162 (81-81) to place 9th in the tournament. Senior Elizabeth Carpenter also excelled, shooting a two-day 164 (85-79) to finish 13th overall. Junior Amy Behrman (85-81) and freshman Eilzabeth Fisher (85-81) were close behind at 166, both placing 16th overall. Sophomore Emily Washington posted a two-day 193 for the Bears.
