Bears Second After Day One of Brown Invitational

Brockton, Mass. - Hosting the inaugural Brown Women's Golf Invitational, coach Danielle Griffiths' Brown women's golf team stands in second place after day one of competition at the par-72 6,001-yard Thorny Lea Golf Club. Harvard leads the tournament with a first round 309, followed by Brown (327), Boston College (328), Dartmouth (333), and Boston University (347).

Freshman Carly Arison set the pace for the Bears, shooting 41-36--77 to place third overall. Freshman Heather Arison and sophomore Sarah Guarascio each came in at 83, 13th individually.

Freshman Megan Tuohy was next at 84 for the Bears, while sophomore Julia Robinson came in at 85.

The Brown Invitational with complete play with 18 holes on Sunday, April 5, with the first tee-off time at 11:00 a.m.
