Bears 8th At Red Rocks Invitational

Sedona, AZ - Brown's women's golf team opened its spring trip at the Red Rocks Invitational and placed eighth overall with a 54 hole team score of 947 in the 16 team tournament held at the Oak Creek Country Club.

The College of Charleston grabbed the team title by with a 54-hole 909, followed by Portland State (915), Grand Canyon (921), Northern Arizona (922), Weber State (943), MOntana (944), Southern Utah (944), Brown 947), British Columbia (963), Boise State (967), Seattle (967), Drake (968), USC Upstate (972), South DAkota (974), North Dakota (988), Omaha (989).

Freshman Naomi Lee paced the Bears and earned a Top 10 individual finish, shooting 75-78-77--230 to place ninth individually. Senior Christine Kim came in at 233 on rounds of 75-82-76 for 18th place.

Bears' freshman Brittany Park shot 77-75-82--234 for a 21st place finish, while junior Elizabeth Doykan came in at 80-86-86--252. Freshman Winnie McCabe posted scores of 79-85 in the first two rounds.

Brown returns to action on April 7-8 at the Harvard Invitational, played at The Oaks Club in Sarasota, Florida.
