Brown Golfers Named All-American Scholars

Coral Springs, FL - Brown women's golfers Cassandra Carothers '15 (Jacksonville, OR), Juliette Garay '16 (La Jolla, CA), Lauren Flynn '16 (Milton, MA) and Stephanie Hsieh '15 (Alamo, CA) have been named All-American Scholars for 2013-2014 by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, joining 664 women's intercollegiate golfers for Division I, II and III.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, with a minimum GPA of 3.50.

Carothers, Garay, Flynn and Hsieh were all major contributors for the Brown golf team. An International Relations concentrator, Carothers was Brown's top player at the Ivy League Championship at the Baltusrol GC. Garay, a Psychology concentrator at Brown, competed in every tournament for the Bears.

Flynn is a Neuroscience concentrator, competing in every tournament and pacing the Bears at the Windy City Invitational. An Applied Mathematics-Economics concentrator, Hsieh led the Bears at the Harvard Invitational, the Delaware Invitational and the Dartmouth Invitational.
