Bears Fall To Delaware In Spring Opening Match

Coronado Island, CA – The Brown women's golf team opened its spring season just outside of San Diego, CA, competing against the University of Delaware in a match played at the par 72, 5,965 yard Coronado Golf Course. Playing in sunny and warm weather on the West Coast, the Bears were defeated by the Blue Hens in the dual match, 618-642, in the 36-hole event.


Junior Stephanie Hsieh and freshman Rosanna Lederhausen paced the Bears with scores of156 to place fifth individually.  Hsieh shot 82-74, while Lederhausen scored 76-80.


Bears' junior Cassandra Carothers came in at 158 on rounds of 76-82, while sophomore Lauren Flynn shot 84-80—164. Junior Juliette Garay shot 87-81--169 as did freshman Julie Lym, who carded 85-83--169.


Coach Danielle Griffith's team is back in action at the Lady Pirate Invitational, April 5-6, at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminister, New Jersey.
