Providence, RI - Brown opened its 2013-2014 season at the Dartmouth Invitational and earned a fourth place finish in the 11 team field. Brown shot 309-319—628 over the par-72, 5846 yard Hanover Country Club.
Yale took the team championship by 23 shots with a 36-hole 575. Boston University was second at 598, followed by host Dartmouth (615), Brown (628), Siena (628), Quinnipiac (634), Sacred Heart (644), Hartford (648), Albany (657), Wagner (668) and Holy Cross (726).
Junior Stephanie Hsieh, a first team All-Ivy selection in 2012, paced the Bears and finished 8th individually with rounds of 73-75—148. Freshman Rosanna Lederhausen, made her collegiate debut and placed 17th individually after scores of 78-78—156.
Bears' sophomore Juliette Garay shot 77-83—160 for a 26th place finish individually, while sophomore Lauren Flynn came in at 165 on rounds of 82-83. Freshman Julie Lym also made her first collegiate start, shooting 81-85—166.
Coach Danielle Griffith's team is back in action again at the Northwestern Invitational, September 30-October 1 at the Northmoor Country Club outside of Chicago.
