Brown Women’s Golf Team 6th At Ivy League Championship

Bedminister, N.J. – The Brown women's golf team posted a 54-hole 992 to place sixth at the Ivy League Golf Championship held, at the par-72 Trump National Golf Club.  The Bears shot rounds of 323-332-337 in the 54-hole Ivy Championship and were paced by sophomore Stephanie Hsieh, who shot 242.

 

Capturing the Ivy title in a hotly contested championship was Harvard (909), who nosed out Princeton (910) by a single shot. Yale placed third (930), followed by Columbia (944), Penn (954), Brown (992) and Dartmouth (1002).

 

Hsieh shot rounds of 77-81-84—242 to place 18th individually.  Freshman Maggie Min came in at 76-86-85—247 to finish 23rd.

 

Senior Erica Farrer came in at 257 after shooting rounds of 92-83-82, while freshman Lauren Flynn shot a 54-hole 258 (83-82-93).  Freshman Juliette Garay was Brown University s fifth scorer at 87-89-86—262.

 

The future looks bright for coach Danielle Griffith's squad with three freshmen and a sophomore returning to the lineup next season.
