  • Brown Women’s Golf Team 6th At Ivy League Championship

    The Brown women’s golf team posted a 54-hole 992 to place sixth at the Ivy League Golf Championship held, at the par-72 Trump National Golf Club. The Bears shot rounds of 323-332-337 in the 54-hole Ivy Championship and were paced by sophomore Stephanie Hsieh, who shot 242.

    With 36 holes completed at the Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship, at the par-72 Trump National Golf Club, the Brown women’s golf team is sixth overall with a two-round score of 323. Sophomore Stephanie Hsieh leads the Bears with a 36-hole 158. The 54-hole Ivy Championship will be completed with 18-holes Sunday morning.

    At the completion of the first round of the 54-hole Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship, Brown is sixth overall with a team score of 323 at the par-72 Trump National Golf Club. Play will continue with 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. Bears’ freshman Maggie Min is tied for sixth place individually after carding 76.
  • Bears Place 11th At Brown Bear Invitational; Yale Captures Team Title

    With the Narragansett Bay as a backdrop, Yale ran away with the team championship at the Fourth Annual Brown Bear Women’s Golf Invitational played at the par-72, 6,086 yard Rhode Island Country Club.   • Brown Ninth After Day One of Brown Bear Invitational

    Round one of the Brown Bear Invitational has been completed at the par-72, 6,200 yard Rhode Island Country Club with Yale the first-day lead with a team score of 309. Host Brown is currently in 9th place with an 18-hole 325.
  • Women’s Golf Hosts Fourth Annual Brown Bear Invitational

    The Brown women’s golf team will host the Fourth Annual Brown Bear Invitational on April 14-15 at the par-72, 6,012 yard, Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, Rhode Island. The famed Donald Ross designed course on the Narragansett Bay was the recent host of the USGA Women’s Amateur Championship.
  • Bears Place 10th At Georgetown Hoya Invitational

    Brown’s women’s golf team competed at the Georgetown University Hoya Invitational and placed 10th overall in tournament held at the par 72, 6,125 yard The Members Club at Four Streams. The Bears shot 324-337-327—988 in the 54-hole event. Freshman Maggie Min was Brown’s top scorer, shooting 81-84-76—241 to place 35th individually.
  • Bears Make Spring Season Debut, Place 12th At Low Country Intercollegiate

    Following an especially cold and wet early spring, the Brown women’s golf team opened the 2013 spring season at the rain-shortened Low Country Intercollegiate, shooting 349 to place 12th in the 16-team field. The tournament was cut to only one round after inclement weather forced the first round to be canceled Sunday.

    Hard at practice since its fall season concluded in October, the Brown women's golf team will tee-off its spring schedule with competitions at the Moss Creek GC in Hilton Head, SC, the Four Streams GC in Maryland and the Brown Invitational, all en route to the Ivy League Championship.
  • Bears Place 2nd At Sacred Heart Fall Classic

    Competing its final tournament of the fall season, the Brown women’s golf team made a serious bid at capturing the Sacred Heart Fall invitational, but in the end placed second in the 10-team tournament played at the Par 72, 6,148 yard Great River Golf Club. The Bears shot 324-323—647 to place second behind first place Penn (630).
  • Bears Place 14th At Rain Shortened Lady Pirate Intercollegiate

    Coach Danielle Griffith’s Brown women’s golf team finished 14th at the rain-shortened Lady Pirate Intercollegiate after the final round was cancelled due to unplayable conditions. The two-day, 54-hole event, which was being played at the par-72, 6,004-yard Greenville Country Club, was reduced to an 18-hole tournament after torrential rain Monday afternoon that caused the cancellation of the final 36-holes.
  • Brown Finishes 10th At Yale Women’s Fall Intercollegiate

    Playing its second tournament of the fall season, the Brown women’s golf team placed 10th at the Yale Women’s Fall Intercollegiate, played at the par-72, 5,901 yard Yale Golf Course. The Bears shot a 54-hole 954 on rounds of 317-317-311.
  • Women’s Golf Third At Dartmouth Invitational

    Brown opened its fall golf season with a third place finish at the 12-team Dartmouth Women’s Golf Invitational, played at the par-71, 5812 yard Hanover Country Club. The Bears made up ground in the final round, shooting the second lowest score of the day (304) to finish with a 36-hole 619, moving from fifth place after round one to a third place finish. Pacing the Bears was sophomore Stephanie Hsieh, who picked up where she left off a year ago to finish third individually at 146, shooting a torrid two-under par 69 in the final round, the lowest score of the tournament.
  • Womens' Golf Set To Open 2012-13 Season

    Coming off a fifth place finish at Ivy Championships last spring, the Brown women’s golf team is looking to improve on its performance in the upcoming season. The Bears had a strong showing in 2011-2012, finishing second in both the Princeton Invitational and the Spider Invitational, hosted by the University of Richmond. The high moment of the season occurred at the Lehigh Invitational, where the Bears came from behind to win the tournament by five shots over Seton Hall.
  • Brown Golfers Named National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar-Athletes

    The National Golf Coaches Association honored five members of the Brown women’s golf team as All-American Scholar recipients for 2011-2012. Honored from coach Danielle Griffiths team are senior Carly Arison (Cpley, OH), senior Heather Arison (Copley, OH), freshman Michelle Chen (Plano, TX), freshman Stephanie Hsieh (Alamo, CA) and senior Megan Tuohy (Indianapolis, IN).
