Women's Golfers Place Sixth At Yale Fall Intercollegiate

New Haven, Conn. -  Brown's women's golf team teed-off in its first competition of the season, finishing sixth in the 16-team Yale Fall Intercollegiate with a three-round team score of 936  at the Yale Golf Course.  The Bears posted rounds of 304, 313 and 319.


Harvard captured the team Championship at  894, followed by Longwood (910), Nova Southeastern (913), Yale (925), IUPUI (935), Brown (936),  Boston College (938), Seton Hall (943), Lehigh (947), Yale II (954), Georgetown (961), LIU-Brooklyn (979), Fairleigh Dickinson (980), Sacred Heart (983), Monmouth (997), and Towson (1078).


Senior Megan Tuohey and freshman Stephanie Hsieh paced the Bears with a three round 231.  Tuohey posted scores of 77-78076, while Hsieh shot 76-75-80.  Senior Heather Arison shot a team best 72 in the first round and followed with 80-81 to finish at 233.


Senior Carly Arison shot 79-84-82—245, while freshman Michelle Chen came in at 84-80-86—250,  Junior Erica Farrer played as an individual and posted scores of 87-89-80—256.


The Bears will be back in action again next weekend, September 24-25, at the Princeton Invitational in Princeton, New Jersey.
