    Bears Fifth At Ivy Women’s Golf Championship; Hsieh Named First Team All-Ivy Freshman Stephanie Hsieh earned All-Ivy honors and helped Brown to a fifth place finish at the 2012 Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship, played at the Seaview Golf Resort Bay Course. Brown shot a 54-hole total of 985, while Harvard took home the team championship with a three-day 952.

    Women’s Golf Fifth After Round One of Ivy League Championship The wind whipped through the par-71, 6,011 yard Seaview Golf Resort Bay Course and sent the scores for the first round of the Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship higher than normal. In the end, Brown shot a team score of 345, tied for fifth place overall.

    Second Place Finish For Bears At Brown Women’s Golf Invitational While it’s always a goal to win your own tournament, the Brown women’s golf team did the next best thing, placing second at the 2012 Brown Women’s Golf Invitational, played at the par-72, 6,067-yard Rhode Island Country Club. The Bears made up five shots on first place St. Johns on the second day of play, but fell to the Red Storm by a five shot margin.

    Bears Place 9th At Low Country Intercollegiate The Brown women’s golf team finished ninth in the Low Country Intercollegiate at Moss Creek’s par-72, 5,853 yard South Course with a 36-hole score of 646. The Bears were 13th after the first day of competition, but came back with the fifth best team score of the final day (313) to move into ninth place in the 15 team tournament won by Appalachian State, who shot 313-308-621.

    2011 Fall Academic All-Ivy Announced The Ivy League released its fall list of Academic All-ivy honorees, with 10 Brown student-athletes being recognized. The five males and five females were starters or key reserves on their respective varsity teams and carry a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.

Bears’ freshman Stephanie Hsieh tied for the individual championship, but lost medalist honors in a one-hole playoff.

    Bears 6th At Harvard Invitational; Prepare For Lehigh Invitational Brown’s women’s golf team had a 6th place finish at the Harvard Invitational, a tournament that included all seven Ivy League golf-playing schools. Brown’s 36-hole 658 was just two shots out of fifth place and three shots out of fourth place in the tournament played at the par-72, 6006 yard Boston Golf Club. Senior captain Megan Touhy paced the Bears with a 36-hole 158 on rounds of 79-79, finishing seventh individually.

    Brown Women’s Golfers 2nd At Spider Invitational; Stephanie Hsieh ‘15 Wins Tournament Medal Led by tournament medalist Stephanie Hsieh ‘15, the Brown women’s golf team turned in an outstanding performance at the Spider Invitational, hosted by the University of Richmond, finishing second with a 54-hole total of 917 in the event played at the par-72, 6,100 yard Independence Golf Club.

    Bears Place Second At Princeton Invitational The Brown women’s golf team turned in a strong performance at the Princeton Invitational, finishing second overall in the 12 team field with a 54-hole total of 910, falling to tournament champion Harvard by just four shots. Bears’ freshman Stephanie Hsieh placed third individually with a three-round 220 atbteh tournament played at the Springdale Country Club.

    Women's Golfers Place Sixth At Yale Fall Intercollegiate Brown’s women’s golf team teed-off in its first competition of the season, finishing sixth in the 16-team Yale Fall Intercollegiate with a three-round team score of 936 at the Yale Golf Course. The Bears posted rounds of 304, 313 and 319. Senior Megan Tuohey and freshman Stephanie Hsieh paced the Bears with a three round 231.

    Brown Golf Class of 2015 Head women’s golf coach Danielle Griffiths is pleased to announce the incoming Brown Golf Class of 2015, who are arriving on campus this week and will begin classes on September 7th. This year’s class is talented on the golf course and has excelled in the classroom, and is expected to contribute immediately to the Brown team.
