Seaside, California - Brown's women's golf team escaped the frigid temperatures of the Northeast for the more temperate weather of the Monterey Bay to compete in the Lady Otter Spring Invitational, hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay at the par-72, 5810 yard Black Horse Golf Club.
After the first day of competition, Brown stands in sixth place in the 22-team field after shooting 320. Nova Southeastern U. stands in first place with a first round 295.
Three Brown players carded first round scores of 79 – senior Susan Restrepo, junior Megan Tuohy and senior Sarah Guarascio – to stand in 22nd place individually. The Arison sisters, juniors Carly and Heather, each shot 83 on the first day of play.
The Lady Otter Invitational will conclude on Tuesday, March 29, with an 8:30 a.m. (PDT) shotgun start.
