Bears Turn In Solid Performance At Yale Invitational

New Haven, CT -  Brown turned in a strong performance at the Yale Women's Fall Intercollegiate at the 5,959 yard par-72  Yale Golf Course, finishing 8th overall with a three-round 935 (316, 304, 315).


Yale captured the team title by 13 shots by shooting 886, followed by Penn (899), Boston College (907), Longwood (916), Fairleigh Dickinson (917), St. John's (921), Siena (929), Brown, Dartmouth (939), Lehigh (958), Hartford (959), Sacred Heart (961), Seton Hall (995), and Central Connecticut (1019).


Junior Megan Tuohy turned in a strong performance with a 54-hole 227 that included a sizzling one-under par 71 in the second round to finish 15th individually.  Tuohy carded an opening round 80, and finished strong with a final day 76.


One of the Bears' most consistent players was junior Carly Arison, who had all three rounds in the 70's, shooting 77-75-79—231 to place 23rd individually.


Senior Susan Restrepo also played well for the Bears, shooting 79-77-80—236 to place 39th.  Senior Sarah Guarascio came in at 244 (83-81-80), while junior Heather Arison shot 80-87-83—250.


Coach Danielle Griffith's team will be idle until traveling to the Northern Illinois Invitational, October 10-11, at the Whisper Creek Golf Club.
