
Milford, Conn. - Brown wrapped up its fall season with a solid
third place finish at the Sacred Heart Fall Invitational, played at
the par-72, 5,922 yard Great River Golf Club. The Bears shot a
two-round 670 (336, 334) to place third behind St. John’s
(642) and Hartford (669), and ahead of Sacred Heart (685),
Fairfield (708), Boston U. (717), Central Connecticut (725) and St.
Francis NY (794).
Four of Brown’s players finished in the Top 10 individually,
led by sophomore Carly Arison, who finished sixth overall with a
two-round 164 (83-81). Junior Julia Robinson and sophomore Heather
Arison both finished seventh individually at 165, with Robinson
shooting 81-84, and Arison coming in at 83-82.
Freshman Claire Straty was 10th individually after shooting
86-81—167, while junior Susan Restrepo placed 11th by carding
84-86—170. Bears’ sophomore Megan Tuohy was 13t after
shooting 88-83—171.
Junior Susan Guarascio also competed for the Bears, shooting a
two-round 179 (89-90), while senior Anita Sekar came in at 199
(103, 96).
