Brown senior Lizzie Buza (Houston, TX), the Bears' leading scorer, will extend her field hockey playing career a little longer after the conclusion of Brown's field hockey season. She was one of 19 athletes chosen to the North roster for the Division I North-South Senior All-Star Game, to be held at the University of Massachusetts on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 7:30 p.m.
With three games left this season, Buza currently leads the team with five goals and five assists for 15 points. In addition, she has one defensive save, third on the team, and leads the Bears with two game-winning goals. A co-captain this year, Buza has started all 64 games during her career, while earning Honorable Mention All-Ivy honors as a freshman, Second Team All-Ivy and Second Team Regional All-American honors as a sophomore, and First Team All-Ivy and First Team Regional All-American honors as a junior. The recipient of the team's Outstanding Offensive Player award in 2001, Buza earned the team's MVP award last season. She currently has career numbers of 55 points on 19 goals and 17 assists.
Buza is concentrating in Biology.
