Field Hockey's Kathryn Noe Earns Ivy League Rookie of the Week Honors

Brown freshman Kathryn Noe (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) picked up Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors for the week ending October 21, 2001. It is the second time she has been honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week this season.
A goalie for the Bears, Noe led Brown to two wins while allowing just two goals on the week. She posted eight saves in Brown's 3-0 victory over Holy Cross, her third career shutout and bested that with nine at Cornell in Brown's 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the Big Red.
Against Cornell, she held the Big Red scoreless for 59:21 to help Brown come back from a 2-0 deficit and go on to win 3-2. She has a 1.41 goals against average and a 0.790 save percentage on the season with a personal record of 7-3-0.
The Brown field hockey team, under head coach Carolan Norris, currently stands 7-5 and will host Providence on Wednesday, October 24 in a 3:30 p.m. game.
