PROVIDENCE, RI - Brown assistant field hockey coach Jennifer Johnstone has stepped down to accept the position of head field hockey coach at Adrian College, a private, co-educational college of liberal arts and sciences in Adrian, MI.
Johnstone, who has been a member of Head Coach Carolan Norris' staff since the 2004 season, will be charged with heading the Adrian College Field Hockey program, which is being reinstated at Adrian after a 16-year absence. Along with field hockey, Adrian is also adding men's and women's lacrosse, and it is expected that teams will be competing at the NCAA intercollegiate level by the 2007-2008 academic year. Adrian is currently building a multisport performance stadium for men's and women's soccer, football, men's and women's lacrosse, and field hockey.

A 2003 graduate of the University of Maine, Johnstone helped lead the Black Bears to the America East Conference Championship, earning Second Team NFHCA Northeast Regional All-America honors. A two-time First Team All-Conference selection, Johnstone was also a Second Team Regional All-American in 2000 and a First Team Regional All-American in 2001.
