12 Bears Earn NFHCA Division I Academic Squad Honors

The Brown University Field Hockey team was one of 52 Division I teams to receive the 2004 NFHCA Academic Team Award. The award recognizes those institutions that have achieved a Team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 1st semester of the 2004-05 academic year. Brown's team GPA is 3.32.

In addition, 12 members of the Brown team made the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad with a GPA of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2004-2005 academic year.

Those student-athletes are freshman Katie Auriemma (Medford, NJ), junior Tess Belmont (Poughkeepsie, NY), junior Lindsay Boris (Shavertown, PA), sophomore Jenica Cimino (San Rafael, CA), junior Libby Fritz (Gladstone, NJ), freshman Kristen Hodavance (Emmaus, PA), junior Laura Kavazanjian (Setauket, NY), senior Julia Kelderman (Chevy Chase, MD), junior Kristen Leary (Woodbridge, VA), freshman Andrea Posa (Weston, MA), sophomore Hope Stockman (Princeton, NJ), and junior Kristen Vincent (Glens Falls, NY).
