PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Brown field hockey team (5-9, 2-4) dropped a 2-0 decision at the University of Pennsylvania (12-4, 5-1) on Sunday afternoon.
The Quakers struck early in the game, scoring just nine minutes into the contest. The Red and Blue continued to play strong defense and controlled the tempo of the game with their strong passing through the midfield. Penn added to its lead in the second half with a shot that was tipped into the back of the net. The Bears managed just one shot in the entire game, while the Quakers had eight.
Freshman Kristen Hodavance (Emmaus, PA) stopped three Quaker shots. The Bears continue action on Tuesday, November 2, when they travel to Worcester, MA to take on Holy Cross at 5:00 p.m.
