PHILADELPHIA, PA - Junior goalie Kristen Hodavance (Emmaus, PA) recorded 10 saves, but the Bears' offense could generate only three shots as the Brown field hockey team (9-6, 3-3) dropped a 1-0 decision to Penn (9-7, 4-2) in a battle for sole possession of second place in the Ivy League.

The quakers dominated the entire game, firing 17 shots, while limiting Brown to just three. Penn also earned eight penalty corners, while allowing just one Brown corner.

Kristin Connolly scored all Penn would need for the win juat 14:53 into the game on a penalty corner and the Quakers' defense kept Brown off the board for the victory.

Junior Ani Kazarian (Providence, RI), senior Tracy Dungo (North Caldwell, NJ), and sophomore Victoria Sacco (Madison, NJ) each had one shot for Brown.

Hodavance kept the Bears' in the game, recording five saves in each half, matching a season-high with 10 for the contest. Brown closes out the season on Saturday, November 4, when it hosts Yale at 12:00 noon.
