Providence, RI - The field hockey team (1-3, 0-1) dropped a 2-0 decision to Lehigh this afternoon on Warner Roof in Providence. The Bears controlled most of the first half, keeping the majority of play on the Mountain Hawks defensive side, but was unable to get the ball past Lehigh's goaltender.

Lehigh opened up the scoring when Marissa Iannarone recorded the first of her two goals at the 11:35 mark, taking a centering feed from Christy Smith and slamming it past Bear's sophomore goalie Kristen Hodavance (Emmaus, PA). The Mountain Hawks added their insurance goal with less then five minutes remaining in the half to grab a 2-0 lead.
Bruno pressured the Lehigh defense through out the second half looking to get on the board. Junior Hope Stockman (Princeton, NJ) collected a loss ball deep in the Mountain Hawks zone and ripped a hard shot towards the net where Grove made a diving save to ensure the shut out victory.
