Oarswomen Take Two Second Place Finishes At Head of Charles

Cambridge, MA - The Brown women's crew got its fall season underway at the Head of the Charles regatta on Sunday, taking home a pair of second place finishes. The varsity four and novice eight each took second place while the varsity eight placed ninth out of a total of 47 boats.

The US Rowing Princeton Training Center won the varsity eight event followed by Princeton's collegiate boat. The Bears' placed ninth as well at last season's regatta.

In the novice eight race, Yale took first while Princeton rounded out the top three behind Brown. The varsity four race proved to be a battle between the Bears and the University of Victoria as the rest of the field fell well behind the two crews.
