Boston, MA - The Brown women's crew picked up five dominating wins over Boston University on Saturday morning on the Charles River. The Bears' varsity eight recorded a 6.1 second win over the Terriers while the second varsity eight posted a victory of over 12 seconds.
The Brown varsity four had an equally dominating win in its race, beating the Terriers 7:30.4 to 7:42.1. The two crews raced a pair of boats each as the Bears second varsity four boat defeated Boston University's second boat easily.
The Bears two novice crews had no problem against the Terriers as well with the novice eight cruising to a victory of over 18 seconds. The novice four race went virtually uncontested as Brown posted a 25 second win.
The win for the varsity eight moves the crew to 3-5 on the year while the second varsity eight improves to 6-1. The novice eight remains undefeated at 6-0 on the season.
Up next for Brown will be Cornell and Columbia as the Bears will host their Ivy League foes on the Seekonk River this coming Saturday.
