Women’s Crew Climbs to No. 1 in Latest CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Following a second-place finish at last weekend’s Lake Natoma Invitational, the Brown women’s crew team jumped to No. 1 in the nation in Wednesday’s USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Collegiate Rowing Poll presented by Pocock Racing Shells.

No. 6 Women’s Crew Wins Two of Three with Cal and USC, Finishes Second Overall at Lake Natoma Classic
GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The sixth-ranked Brown women’s crew team finished the Lake Natoma Classic in second place overall after winning the second varsity eight and varsity four against No. 1 California and No. 4 Southern California on Sunday. The Bears finished with eight overall team points, trailing only Cal with nine points.

No. 6 Women’s Crew Grabs Three Wins in Morning Session at Lake Natoma Classic
GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The sixth-ranked Brown women’s crew team started its California trip in strong fashion, winning all three morning races in day one action at the Lake Natoma Classic. The varsity eight, second varsity eight and varsity four swept the competition against No. 7 Stanford and Kansas.

No. 6 Women’s Crew Tops No. 20 San Diego, Oklahoma in Lake Natoma Afternoon Session
GOLD RIVER, Calif. – After a clean sweep of the morning sessions, the sixth-ranked Brown women’s crew team won three races against No. 20 San Diego and Oklahoma in the afternoon session of day one action at the Lake Natoma Classic on Saturday.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Against a strong incoming tide, the No. 5 Brown women’s crew team swept all five races against No. 13 Radcliffe to win the Varsity Eight Trophy on the Seekonk River on Saturday.

No. 9 Women’s Crew Reclaims Class of 1987 Trophy at No. 5 Princeton
PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 9 Brown women’s crew team opened the 2014 spring season by reclaiming the Class of 1987 Trophy for the first time since 2007 and earning its 10th win since the award’s inception at No. 5 Princeton with Michigan State on Lake Carnegie on Saturday.

No. 9 Women’s Crew Opens Season at No. 5 Princeton with Michigan State
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The campaign for an eighth national championship begins on Saturday when the ninth-ranked Brown women’s crew team takes on fifth-ranked Princeton with Michigan State in the annual Class of 1987 Trophy regatta on Lake Carnegie. Brown seeks its 10th Class of 1987 Trophy since its inception and the team’s first since 2007.

Six Brown Rowers to Compete at 2013 World Championships
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Four past members of the Brown University crew teams have qualified for a spot on the United States squad that will compete at the 2013 World Rowing Championships from Aug. 25 to Sept. 1 in Chungju, South Korea. In addition, former Brown men's rowers Nikola Stojic and Steve Van Knotsenburg will compete at the championships, representing Serbia and Canada, respectively.

Brown Crew Earns ECAC Rowing Trophy
CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Commissioner Dr. Kevin T. McGinniss recently announced that Brown University has earned the 2013 ECAC Rowing Trophy. Brown shared the honor with Trinity College and captured the award for the fourth time in school history.

Coco Schoeller Wins Gold at U23 World Championships
Coco Schoeller (West Palm Beach, FL), a rising junior on the Brown women’s crew team, contributed to an impressive performance by the United States’ U23 varsity eight on Sunday, as the boat earned a gold medal at the 2013 World Rowing U23 Championships in Linz, Austria.
