Brown senior center Holly Robertson was named the Ivy League Player of the Week after leading the Bears to a 3-0 week, including the Brown Classic Championship over the weekend. Robertson averaged 19.0 points on 23-43 shooting, 11.3 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, 2.0 steals and 2.0 assists per game on the week. She earned her second straight Tournament MVP Award as the Bears won the 13th annual Brown Classic.
Last Wednesday against in-state rival Rhode Island, the 6'5" Robertson tallied 20 points on 8-11 shooting and a career-high 15 rebounds. In the opening round of the Brown Classic against Winthrop, she posted a team-high 15 points, seven rebounds, three blocks and three steals. She followed up with a season-high 22 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks, four assists and a steal in the championship game. Her break-away lay-up and two free throws in the final 18 seconds helped seal the 69-61 victory.
Robertson was all over the offensive glass, recording 18 in the three games, two more then her defensive total. She also shot 92% from the free throw line, going 11-12. She had been shooting 61% from the line prior to this week. She leads Brown with 16.6 ppg and the Ivy League with 10.6 rpg.
