The Brown University Women's Basketball Staff has announced the dates of their 11th annual Shooting Stars and Offensive Skills Brown Basketball Camps. Camp Director and Brown University Women's Basketball Head Coach Jean Marie Burr along with Assistant Directors, and assistant coaches at Brown, Pam Bass and Kathleen Cronin look to accomplish the goal of the camp, to develop each camper's interest in basketball.
"We will give each player the attention they need to improve their individual skills," expresses Burr. The camp will provide a 6-1 ratio of campers to staff to help accomplish the individual time needed. Included on the staff in the past have been a professional women's basketball player, the Big East Defensive Player of the Year, an Olympian, as well as enthusiastic college players and high school coaches from across the country.
There will be two Shooting Stars Camps the first camp will be open to boys and girls grades 6-12. This camp will run from June 18-20 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the focus of this camp is on Offensive Skills, with special shooting instruction daily. The cost of the Offensive Skills Camp is $150.
The primary Shooting Stars camp will run from June 23-26, 2003 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., this camp is open to boys and girls grades 1-11. The cost of the Shooting Stars Camp is $200. Register for either camp by May 15th and get 10% off the camp price.
