Princeton, NJ - Senior guard Sarah Hayes (Beaufort, S.C.) posted a pair of double-doubles in Brown's huge weekend sweep over Harvard and Dartmouth, earning her Co-Ivy League Player of the Week honors. Her three-point basket with 38 seconds left, followed by two free throws with 24 seconds on the clock, pushed the Bears to a 66-61 victory on Friday against the Crimson.
On Saturday against the Big Green, her four free throws in the final minute of overtime, secured first place for Brown in the Ivy League standings. She finished with 18 points and a season-high 11 rebounds in the come-from-behind win over Harvard and 14 points, ten rebounds and five assists in the overtime thriller against Dartmouth.
Hayes continues to shine on the Bears' home court as she is averaging over 17 points on 55 percent shooting and pulling down over eight rebounds at the Pizzitola Center this season. She is one of just a handful of players in the nation to be leading their team in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals.
