Pavichevich Named Ivy League Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, RI - Senior Rada Pavichevich (Norwood Park, IL) was named the Ivy League Player of the Week in women's basketball for the week ending January 26.
The senior scored a career-high 24 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor to lead Brown (4-13, 1-3 Ivy) to its first Ivy League win of the season with a 73-57 victory over Yale on Saturday.
Pavichevich was a blistering 9-of-11 from the free throw line and also picked up three assists and two steals in the game. She currently ranks fifteenth on the all-time scoring list at Brown with 822 career points.
This season she has led the Bears in scoring in 11 of 17 games, and leads the Bears in four statistical categories: points (13.2 ppg), assists (43), steals (34) and free throw percentage (71 percent - 54-76). Pavichevich is eighth in Ivy League scoring with 16.3 ppg.
The selection is the second of the season for Pavichevich who was also named the Ivy Player of the Week on December 3 after scoring 17 points against Army in the first round of the Brown Classic before notching 23 points versus Texas A&M in the championship game.
Brown returns to action on Friday and Saturday February 1-2 when it will host Harvard and Dartmouth at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Both games will start at 7:00 p.m.
