Princeton, NJ - After leading Brown to a pair of victories after the weekend, senior captain Sarah Hayes (Beaufort, SC) has been named the Ivy League Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Hayes scored 24 points, pulled down six rebounds and made four steals against Yale, improving Brown to 2-0 in the Ivy League.

In the final non-conference game of the season against a solid South Dakota State team, Hayes was all over the court, registering 20 points, nine rebounds, a season-high six assists, and four steals. The senior shot a stifling 67% (18-27) from the field in the two games. Hayes leads the League in scoring with 15.7 points per game and in steals with 2.53 per game. She also ranks in the top ten of four other categories in the League.
