Providence, RI - After pouring in 18 of her career-high 21 points during the second-half of Brown's 67-60 victory over Yale on Saturday, sophomore Catherine Schaper (Houston, TX) has been named Ivy League Player of the Week.

Against the Bulldogs, Schaper went 8-10 from the field and was 5-6 from the free-throw line. She also grabbed five rebounds, picked up two steals and dished out one assist to help cut Brown's 15-point deficit and give the Bears (3-13, 1-1 Ivy) their first lead of the game with 9:04 left in game.

Schaper currently averages five points per game, while also pulling down 3.5 rebounds. The win on Saturday gave the Bears their first Ivy League win and will be back on the floor when Brown hosts Dartmouth on Friday evening (7:00 p.m.) and Harvard on Saturday night (7:00 p.m.).
