January 22, 2001 PRINCETON, NJ -- Junior Rada Pavichevich, co-captain of the Brown women's basketball team, was named Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday. It is the first such honor of Pavichevich's career.

Pavichevich scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Bears past Yale last Friday, 67-55. She hit her first five shots, including two three-pointers, to rally Brown back from a 10 point first-half deficit. For the game, she finished 6-of-11 from the field, and contributed a game-high 7 assists, as Brown improved to 3-0 in Ivy League play this year with its fourth consecutive win overall.

Pavichevich, a native of Norwood Park, Illinois, is currently averaging 9.6 points per game, and is tied for the team lead in assists with 36. The Bears face a road contest at Stony Brook on Tuesday night before returning to league action by hosting Yale on Saturday afternoon at 2:00.
