PRINCETON, NJ -- Junior Rada Pavichevich, co-captain of the Brown women's basketball team, was named Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday. It is the first such honor of Pavichevich's career.
Pavichevich Named Ivy League Player of the Week
Pavichevich scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Bears past Yale last Friday, 67-55. She hit her first five shots, including two three-pointers, to rally Brown back from a 10 point first-half deficit. For the game, she finished 6-of-11 from the field, and contributed a game-high 7 assists, as Brown improved to 3-0 in Ivy League play this year with its fourth consecutive win overall.
Pavichevich, a native of Norwood Park, Illinois, is currently averaging 9.6 points per game, and is tied for the team lead in assists with 36. The Bears face a road contest at Stony Brook on Tuesday night before returning to league action by hosting Yale on Saturday afternoon at 2:00.
