The Brown University Women's Basketball Team has earned Ivy League Honors yet again. Junior Tanara Golston (Skokie, IL) was named Ivy League Player of the Week as freshman Sarah Hayes (Beaufort, SC) tallied her second Ivy League Rookie of the Week selection. This marks four honorees in the past three weeks for Brown.

Junior Tanara Golston has led the Brown turnaround as the Bears evened their record at 7-7 and picked up a 84-77 win over Yale in their League opener. Golston recorded her first double double of the season after accumulating 18 points on seven-for-12 shooting and ten assists in the Bears first Ivy League win.

Golston also added 20 points, eight assists, and no turnovers in 31 minutes of action in Brown's 66-41 win over Iona. For the week she shot .516 (16-31) from the field and averaged four rebounds.

On the year Golston leads the team in assists with 72, more than double of anyone else on the Bears squad. Golston is well on her way to being in the record books for assists in both a career and a season. She currently has 164 throughout her career.

Freshman Sarah Hayes once again blew away the stat sheets as she posted double digit scoring efforts in the two Bear wins. Hayes netted 12 points and grabbed four steals in the Bears win over Iona. She also recorded a double double accumulated 15 points and pulling down ten boards in the 84-77 win over Yale. For the week she shot a sizzling .667 (12-for-18).
