The Brown women's basketball team will get its final warm-up before beginning Ivy League play, tonight at Marist. The Bears will look to gain their third straight victory and even up their record to 6-6.
Seniors Colleen Kelly and Sarah Hayes combined for 39 points in the team's 55-46 victory over Maine on Saturday. Kelly is averaging 19.0 points in the last three games while Hayes notched her first double-double of the season in the win over Maine, scoring 20 points and pulling down ten rebounds. She leads the team this season with 15.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Marist, 8-4 on the year, is currently riding an eight-game win streak, including wins over Ivy rivals Cornell, Harvard and Penn. Fifi Camara leads the Red Foxes with 15.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
The match-up is the tenth all-time between Brown and Marist. The Bears hold a commanding 8-1 lead in the series with the last meeting coming back during the 1998-99 season. The Red Foxes for their lone victory in the 1984-85 season.
