Bears Drop 78-59 Decision to Big Red

The Brown University Women's Basketball team dropped a 78-59 decision to the Cornell Big Red tonight at Cornell. The Bears are now 7-3 in the Ivy League and 13-10 overall.

Brown was out rebounded 45 to 28 and trailed for the majority of the game. The Bears were led by junior Nyema Mitchell (Birmingham, AL) who recorded 12 points and blocked three shots. Also scoring in double digits for the Bears was junior Tanara Golston (Skokie, IL) who netted 11 points and dished out six assists as well as junior Miranda Craigwell (Boston, MA) who accumulated 10 points, six from the foul line.

Sophomore Holly Robertson (Cochrane, Alberta) led the team in rebounds with seven and also contributed four points as freshman Sarah Hayes (Beaufort, SC) recorded nine points and three assists.

The Bears will travel to Penn and Princeton February 28th and March 1st as they continue Ivy League action, both games tip-off at 7:00 p.m.
