Women's Basketball Falls 74-55 to Oklahoma State in Malibu, CA

MALIBU, CA -- The Brown women's basketball team fell 74-55 to the Oklahoma State Cowgirls in the consolation game of the Pepperdine Holiday Classic at Firestone Fieldhouse on Saturday.
Senior forward Tari Cummings led Oklahoma State (7-5) with a game-high 27 points on nine of thirteen shooting to give the Cowgirls a third place finish in the tournament.
Senior Rada Pavichevich (Norwood Park, IL) led four scorers in double figures for Brown (3-8) with 13 points on four of nine shooting from the field and a perfect four of four performance from the free throw line. Senior Erin-Kate Barton (Portland, OR) also had a strong game for the Bears by adding 11 points and six rebounds. Junior Heidi Egelhoff (Portland, OR) and sophomore Tanara Golston (Skokie, IL) each scored 10 points to round out the scoring for Brown.
Cummings scored 18 first half points for Oklahoma State, including the first 11 points for the Cowgirls as they went on a 20-3 run over the last thirteen minutes of the half to claim a 44-23 lead at the break.
The Bears fought back in the second half, outscoring the Cowgirls 32-30.
