Hannah Passafuime Earns CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District Honors

Providence, RI- Brown women's basketball senior captain Hannah Passafuime (Soquel, CA) has earned CoSIDA Capital One First Team Academic All-District honors. Passafuime's nomination will now be forwarded on to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. The team is selected by voting members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Passafuime, an Education/Public Policy Concentrator, is Brown's second leading scorer and rebounder averaging 12.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. She has started in all 18 games this season and averages the most time on the floor, 34.9 minutes. She has helped her squad to an 11-7 overall record, including a 2-2 mark in Ivy League play, and has a 39 percent shooting percentage and a 79 percent free throw percentage. She has scored in double figures in 14 of the Bears' 17 games, and posted a double-double against San Jose State with 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Passafuime was a 2011 Academic All-Ivy selection, a two-time team captain, 2009-10 team MVP and an Honorable Mention All-Ivy honoree in 2009-10. She also received the team's Harriet Sheridan Leadership Award in 2011.
