Bears Set For EIWA Championship

The Brown wrestling team will compete at the 2005 EIWA Championship beginning on Friday at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The Bears will look to improve upon their eighth place finish last season. Session I, which features the preliminaries and pigtail consolations, will begin on Friday at 11 a.m. Session II, which will be the quarterfinals and consolations I & II, will start at 6 p.m. that same night. On Saturday, the semifinals and consolation semifinals will begin at 11 a.m. while the championship finals will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Freshman Jeff Schell is ranked fourth at 125 heading into the Championship. At 184, junior Doran Heist is also ranked fourth in the EIWA. Brown has had a total of 12 EIWA Champions in its history.
