Grapplers Take Fifth At Keystone Classic

Philadelphia, PA - The Brown wrestling team placed fifth overall at the 2004 Keystone Classic in Philadelphia on Saturday. The Bears finished with 87 points, just one away from fourth place finisher Boston University and two and a half away from third place finisher American. Rider won the title with host Penn finishing as the runner-up. Junior Doran Heist and freshman Jeff Schell placed third for the Bears at 184 and 125 respectively.

Junior David Saadeh and freshman Leo Saniuk turned in fifth place finishes at 157 and 197 while freshman Mark Savino (141) along with juniors Mike Pedro (174) and Lee Beane (HWT) rounded out Brown's place finishers with sixth place performances.

Schell continues to shine for the Bears after winning the Empire Open last weekend. The rookie went 5-1 on the day, including a 2-0 win in the consolation final. Heist went 3-1 with a 10-5 win over #3 seeded Sean McIntosh.

The Bears will be back in action on Dec. 4 when they take part in the Las Vegas Invitational.
