Brown Finishes Seventh at EIWAs

The Brown University Wrestling team finished up competition at the EIWA Championships in seventh place with a total score of 60.00. The Bears had five grapplers place in the top six.

Leading the way for Brown at 141 was senior Clint Frease (Clearwater, FL) who came in second place. Junior Nick Ciarcia (Berlin, CT) wrestled his way to a fourth place finish at 184. Freshman Lucas Magnani (Islip, NY) and heavyweight Lee Beane (Bridgewater, MA) both recorded fifth place finishes in their respective weights.

Also grabbing a top six spot was senior Jason Mercado (Pitman, NJ). Mercado recorded a sixth place finish at 149 for the Bears. As well as senior Chris Ayers (Newton, NJ) who placed sixth at 165. Ayers lost in a thirty second sudden victory period, which was necessary due to his opponents riding time.
