2009-10: Made the transition to Division I Collegiate wrestling while working his way to a top-three spot at the 174-lbs division for Brown.

Before Brown: Graduate of Coshocton High School, where he earned four letters in wrestling, as well as four in track and three in football … Finished his career with 158 overall wins and 97 pins, both school records … Won the Team Award for Leadership and as the Outstanding Wrestler during his senior season … Also named an NHSCA Academic All-American following his senior year … District champion ... 2008 state placer ... State qualifer his senior year.
