SANTA CLARA, Calif. – No. 14 Brown University men's water polo topped Fresno Pacific University, 12-7, and bested No. 13 Air Force, 18-13, at the third and final day of the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational at the Sullivan Aquatic Center on Sunday.
In the Bears (18-6) first game of the day, senior Henry Fox (Mercer Island, Wash.) scored four goals to push Brown past the Sunbirds (10-9). Later in the day, sophomore Yahel Murvitz-Lahav (Tel Aviv, Israel) netted five goals to give the Bears a victory over the Falcons (10-14) and push the team's record to 4-1 at "The Rodeo."
Next, Brown hosts Connecticut College on Wednesday at 8 p.m. for the team's Senior Night and home finale.
Game 1 – Brown 12, Fresno Pacific 7
Fox's four goals, and three tallies from senior Nick Deaver (Orinda, Calif.) helped Brown take an 8-4 lead through three quarters on its way to a 12-7 victory over Fresno Pacific in its morning contest.
Sophomores Warren Smith (Dallas, Texas), Jake Wyatt (Corona Del Mar, Calif.), and Murvitz-Lahav and freshmen Rico Burke (Lafayette, Calif.) and Austin Hwang (Laguna Hills, Calif.) each notched one goal.
Senior goalie Andrew Brown (Western Springs, Ill.) made 10 saves while Deaver and Murvitz-Lahav chipped in four steals apiece.
The two teams stood tied at 2-2 after one frame, and the Bears held a 4-3 advantage after two periods.
Brown out-scored Fresno Pacific, 4-1, in the third quarter behind goals from Wyatt, Deaver, Fox, and Burke. The Bears finished the game with a 4-3 margin in their favor in the final period.

Game 2 – Brown 18, Air Force 13
Brown recorded at least four goals in each quarter to defeat the U.S. Air Force Academy, 18-13, in the squad's fifth and last game at "The Rodeo."
Murvitz-Lahav's five goals paced the Bears while Burke, Deaver, and Smith each registered two goals. Another seven Brown student-athletes netted one goal apiece.
Murvitz-Lahav posted a team-high four assists to go with two steals while Deaver charted three assists and two steals, and Fox had three assists.
Sophomore Luke Weiser (Los Alamitos, Calif.) stopped 10 shots in goal.
After the two sides played to a 4-4 draw in the first quarter, the Bears used a 4-1 second quarter to take an 8-5 edge through two frames. Four different Bears tallied goals during the stanza.
Brown pushed its lead to four goals at 13-9 through three periods and extended their lead one goal further with a 5-4 fourth quarter.
