PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The final day of the 2014 Bruno Fall Classic saw the Brown men's water polo team grab two victories over local foes, Connecticut College and MIT, at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center on Sunday.  The Bears improved to 6-3 this season and finished 3-3 overall this weekend at the Bruno Classic.

Henry Fox's six goals in game one powered the Bears past Connecticut College, 16-8 as the senior utility player matched a career-high for goals in a game.  A five-goal first quarter gave Brown an insurmountable lead over the Camels, while Fox added two more goals in the second stanza to extend the lead to 9-4 after two quarters.  Brown would then outscore the Camels 7-4 down the stretch to account for the eight-goal cushion.

In game two action, Luke Irwin's career-high four goals helped pace Brown to a decisive 17-8 triumph over MIT in the tournament's final contest.  A dominant defensive opening two quarters helped stake the Bears to a 6-0 lead.  The lead would grow to 9-0 before MIT got on the board and the Bears wouldn't look back.  Tyler Kirchberg gave Brown its largest lead of the afternoon at 15-5 with a goal in the fourth quarter.

Brown returns to action next Saturday with home matches versus Iona and Fordham beginning at 1 p.m.
