Brown Defeats George Washington in Final Game of Princeton Invite

Princeton, NJ- The No. 18 Brown University men's water polo team (10-2) defeated George Washington, 11-3, in the final game of the Princeton Invite at Denunzio Pool on Sunday afternoon. Svetozar Stefanovic and Henry Fox both led the offense with three goals apiece.

The Bears jumped out to a 3-2 lead in the first quarter and blanked GW in the second 4-0 to take a 7-2 lead at the intermission. The Bears shut down the Colonials in the third, 2-0, and outscore George Washington 2-0 in the final quarter to finish with the win.

Fox added eight steals with his team-high three goals, while also adding to the offense was Will Klein, Nick Deaver, James McNamara, Michael Hartwick and Ryan Gladych.

McNamara added three assists and seven steals to his goal, while Deaver handed out six assists. Freshman goalkeeper Andrew Brown led the defense with 11 saves in the cage.
