No. 17 Brown Rolls by Connecticut College, 17-3, in First Game of Northern Division Championships

Boston, MA- The Brown University men's water polo team earned a 17-3 victory over Connecticut College in the first game of the Northern Division Championships hosted at MIT this afternoon. The Bears will now face the winner of the MIT v. Harvard game and will play at 6 p.m. tonight.

The Bears jumped out to an 8-0 lead after the first quarter and increased their cushion to 13-0 at halftime. It wasn't until the third quarter that the Camels would get on the scoreboard when they outscored Brown 3-2, but Brown shut down Connecticut College in the fourth 2-0 to earn the 17-3 win.

Leading the charge was junior Svetozar Stefanovic (Belgrade, Serbia) with five goals, followed by junior Dean Serure (Coral Gables, FL) with four goals, two steals and four ejections drawn. Sophomore Chris Culin (Cincinnati, OH) and sophomore Grant Villeneuve (Atherton, CA) added two goals each and also scoring was freshman Henry Fox (Mercer Island, WA), senior Toby Espinosa (Palo Alto, CA), freshman Nick Deaver (Orinda, CA) and senior Cyrus Mojdehi (La Jolla, CA).

Sophomore Walker Shockley (Diamond Bar, CA) tallied five saves in the cage for Bruno, and freshman Andrew Brown (La Grange, IL) earned three.
