Graddy and Zamir Named CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District

Providence, RI - Brown track & field seniors Ryan Graddy (Del Mar, CA) and Ari Zamir (Ridgewood, NJ) were each selected to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team. The team is selected by voting members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.
A History concentrator with a 4.0 GPA, Graddy graduated into Brown's Medical School as part of the Program in Liberal Medical Education. He helped Brown to a first-place finish at the cross country New England Championship as Brown's second finisher with a time of 25:24 and ran a 14:36.47 at the Penn Relays in the 5,000m. Graddy earned a 2:01.32 in the 800m at the University of Connecticut Invitational, placed seventh at the Outdoor Ivy League Heptagonal Championships in the 10,000m run with a 30:41.31, and was also an IC4A Qualifier in the 10,000m.
Zamir, a Commerce, Organizations & Entrepreneurship concentrator with a 3.81 GPA, helped the cross-country team to a New England Championship title where he was Bruno's third finisher (25:37) for 16th place. Zamir earned Academic All-Ivy honors and was named to the USTFCCA All-Academic team in the fall, he was Brown's second finisher at the cross country Heptagonal Championships (25:27.0) for 27th place. He posted a personal best time of 8:19.25 in the 3k at the IC4A Championships, and captured sixth in the 10,000m run (30:38.62) in the outdoor Heptagonal Championships. Zamir qualified for the IC4A Championships in the 10,000, and came in eighth place in the 1,500 at the UConn Spring Invitational (4:02.28).
